November 2010
M4E received a request from a 4th grade teacher at Carlisle Elementary School. This teacher, along with two others, are the sponsors for the Accelerated Reader Program. 3rd-6th grade students are encouraged to participate in the program. Students must read books at or abover their current reading level, and test on the books. Each book is worth a certain amount of points. As points are received, there are four levels of achievement for the students.
The students who successfully participated in the first nine weeks were to be given a reward. The teachers thought it would be a great help if M4E could help sponsor a party for the students. That is exactly what M4E did. With a donation from M4E, the three teachers were able to give the students a great party in honor of their success!!!
It is always nice to know you are appreciated. M4E received a very nice card and picture of the students who attended the party. With education being our number one goal, we know that these students and teachers understand the importance of literacy, and we were glad to be a part of it!
